The Second AETHER - MORPHEUS Workshop- Autumn School From Reconfigurable to Self - Adaptive Computing (AMWAS'08) will be organized in Lugano, Switzerland in October 7-9, 2008.
The innovative "Workshop-Autumn School" format has been chosen to provide participants with both grounding on a new, challenging scientific area and with exposure to research results and proposals.
The AMWAS'08 will constitute a meeting-point for researchers and graduate students, interested in innovative next-generation computing architectures.

AETHER is an IST-FET project (IST-027611) funded under the 6th framework programme (FP6). Selected under the fourth call in the Advanced Computing Architecture (ACA) initiative of the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) programme, AETHER's main objective is to study novel self-adaptive computing technologies for future embedded and pervasive applications. The AETHER project started January 1st, 2006 for a duration of 36 months.

The Multi-purpOse dynamically Reconfigurable Platform for intensive HEterogeneous processing (MORPHEUS project) is an integrated project (IST-4-027342) which addresses innovative solutions for embedded computing based on dynamically reconfigurable platforms and tools. MORPHEUS project is funded by the EU for the years 2006-2008.
